Accor is a leading hospitality company with a strong presence in Canberra. Our flagship hotel, Novotel Canberra, is located in the city centre and offers a unique opportunity for a Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to lead our food and beverage operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing efficient and friendly service to guests, implementing systems to maintain control of bar service equipment, and ensuring accurate guest billing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Delivery: Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Operations Management: Implement effective systems to maintain control of bar service equipment, conduct regular stocktakes, and ensure accurate guest billing.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Establish and uphold cleaning schedules for the restaurant area, maintaining the highest hygiene standards.
  • Sales and Marketing: Ensure team members are knowledgeable about current menu and promotions, maximising sales opportunities.
  • Back-of-House Operations: Oversee mise en place, back-of-house operations, and cellar management to maintain high standards throughout the establishment.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality environment.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively, driving results and achieving goals.
  • Food Trends: Knowledge of current food trends and ability to create innovative menus that meet guest expectations.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, able to interact professionally with guests and team members.
  • Drive and Enthusiasm: Demonstrate drive and enthusiasm for learning and growing within the business.

What We Offer
