Therapeutic Antibody Researcher

Molecular biologists and biochemists collaborate with a leading pharmaceutical company to develop new therapeutic drugs. Our team of scientists aims to make good health more accessible, helping millions worldwide enjoy healthier lives.

As a Therapeutic Antibody Researcher, you will conduct research and development on novel antibody projects. This involves planning, executing, and interpreting experiments in protein production, screening, and characterizing antibodies.

This is a lab-based role that includes general molecular biology and DNA preparation, protein expression, purification, and characterization, as well as analytical method development.

You will implement high-throughput antibody purification and characterization workflows to support antibody hit identification and optimization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting research and development (planning, execution, and interpretation) on novel therapeutic antibody projects
  • Focusing on protein production, screening, and characterizing antibodies
  • Providing regular updates through presentations and maintaining experimental records in electronic lab notebooks
  • Training junior staff members as required
  • Compliance with employee health and safety guidelines, including adherence to policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with honors in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in industry-based R&D highly regarded
  • Experience in mammalian cell culture, protein purification by liquid chromatography, and analytical characterization methods
  • Excellent ability to organize and prioritize tasks across multiple projects and deliver according to timelines
  • Personal characteristics: open and collaborative approach to problem-solving, effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, active interest in therapeutic drug discovery and development, ability to work independently and collaborate with larger teams
