Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Childcare Coordinator to join our team. This is a permanent, part-time role (27 hours per week), Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service, including program planning, delivery, and documentation. They will also staff rostering and supervision, administration and financial management tasks, and assist in the delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program.

In addition, they will provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment, work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families, participate in professional and personal development, and consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the coordinator.

Promote the service within the local community in accordance with our values.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent
  • Current Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis certification
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
  • Experience in the education and care of children
  • Effective computer skills and experience with childcare management software
  • Effective workplace communication and leadership skills
