Job Description

The successful candidate will work with the headspace team to deliver youth friendly, family inclusive, culturally appropriate services. They will provide professional and effective therapeutic interventions and support services to young people and their families according to best practice standards.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Approved tertiary qualification (Allied Health) and registration with the relevant regulatory body such as AHPRA
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in youth mental health
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with young people and their families, providing empathetic and supportive care
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions and clinical case management
  • Strong understanding of youth mental health issues, including psychosis and co-occurring disorders
  • Passion for youth mental health, particularly working with young Aboriginal people and their families
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment

Experience of working closely with and having a strong understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture would be considered an advantage.
