About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join a team dedicated to helping Australian SMEs achieve financial success. As a highly experienced Business Development Manager, you will play a key part in driving revenue growth through our broker channel.
You will work closely with internal teams to ensure our customers are at the forefront of everything we do. Your highly developed relationship skills will be essential in building trust and long-term relationships with our broker network.
This is a full-time position that requires a strong consultative sales approach, with a focus on delivering complex financial solutions to corporate or enterprise level customers.
Key Responsibilities- Foster strong relationships with prospective clients to understand their business objectives and identify appropriate solutions.
- Prospect and develop business by establishing and growing your network across a range of target industries.
- Meet or exceed agreed targets, taking ownership of your activities to drive success.
- Collaborate with the Broker Sales team to capture opportunities and work with third-party introducers as required.
- Work with the project onboarding team to ensure product implementation and rollouts are successful.
- 2+ years' experience in a Sales/BDM role within Finance, preferably with experience in a similar role delivering complex financial solutions.
- Ability to self-start and work independently, with a proven history of success in a consultative sale role dealing with sophisticated business clients.
- Understanding of financial risks and levers of a business, particularly in relation to factors that influence working capital.
- Prior experience in a credit environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Develop and execute quarterly/annual sales plans to meet sales objectives.
- Activate new brokers and maintain existing relationships.
- Onboard, train, and develop new brokers.
- Represent the company at various aggregator and industry events.
- Build trust and long-term relationships with our broker network.
- Manage key relationships with aggregator sales personnel at state level.
- Build brand awareness across your dedicated region.
- Stay up-to-date with market and industry trends.
