Are you a strong leader looking for a new challenge? Our team is seeking an experienced Team Leader to provide day-to-day leadership and technical mentoring to their team.

The successful candidate will have at least 7 years of claims experience in public liability and/or professional indemnity, as well as industry-specific ANZIIF qualifications and strong technical expertise in products liability and/or professional indemnity claims handling.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team.
  • Assess present and future needs, trends, problems for your business unit.
  • Review staff performance and provide training and coaching where required.
  • Build and develop strong working relationships with clients.
  • Prepare and analyze management reports.
  • Act as the escalation point for the team in relation to claims enquiries.
  • Manage the associated risk, governance and compliance within the team.
  • Set priorities and plan workload of the team.
  • Manage daily workflow in order to maintain client service standards - internal and external.
  • Provide escalation point to team following complaints and/or technical queries.
Qualifications
  • At least 7 years of claims experience in public liability and/or professional indemnity.
  • Industry-specific ANZIIF qualifications (desirable).
  • Strong technical expertise in products liability and/or professional indemnity claims handling with an understanding of health claims process.
  • Complex claims management within medical malpractice.
  • 3 years' leading and/or mentoring experience.
  • Experience in relationship building and stakeholder management.
  • Strong level of interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Experience in achieving business targets.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Liability claims management / general insurance principles.
