
Childcare Centre Nutrition Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that meet the diverse dietary needs of children in care. The role requires compliance with food safety regulations and a strong understanding of children's health and nutrition standards.
- The successful candidate will be able to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious, inclusive meals in accordance with food safety legislation and childcare nutritional guidelines.
- Maintaining a hygienic and safe kitchen environment is crucial to this role, adhering to relevant food safety and hygiene practices.
- Catering to individual dietary requirements, including allergies, intolerances, and cultural preferences, is essential to providing a positive experience for our children.
- Collaboration with childcare staff to support the health and wellbeing of children is vital to this role.
- A current National Police Clearance (no adverse findings) and DHS Working With Children Clearance are also required for this position.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- A Certificate II/III in Food Services or equivalent experience is highly desirable for this role.
- Knowledge of National Quality Standards and Food Safety legislation is necessary to ensure compliance and quality standards in our childcare centre.
- Experience preparing child-friendly menus in a care or institutional setting is preferred for this position.
- First Aid and Mandated Notification Training is also highly desirable for this role.
