Area Sales Manager NSW

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) position is a fantastic opportunity for candidates who wish to advance their careers in Field Sales and management.
The ASM will be responsible for leading a team of Territory Managers and merchandisers to deliver in-store activities and Field KPIs and Targets. They will focus on building and developing a high-performance sales team through coaching and mentoring, as well as managing their own defined territory of stores to leverage relationships with customer managers and maximize sales opportunities.
The ASM will collaborate with the State Operations Manager to ensure compliance across all channels within their assigned area and seek out additional sales opportunities through established relationships and rapport with key customer contacts.
Main ResponsibilitiesSales and Business Development- Establish and maintain relationships with Key Customers (store and Area/Regional Managers) to maximize sales opportunities.
- Meet with key customer contacts to upsell major activities and negotiate additional display activity.
- Ensure Quality, Freshness, and Standards of in-store execution meet the Field Action Standards set under the My Perfect Store Guidelines.
- Develop a plan to achieve all display and Execution Quality targets as outlined in the Activity Execution Guide.
- Ensure the availability of all POS Material for activations in-store, including ordering all POS to Local Sheds in a timely manner.
- Coordinate, coach, and mentor all Direct Reports, comprising Territory Managers and merchandisers.
- Participate in the recruitment of Territory Managers, Regional Merchandisers, and seasonal helpers as required.
- Ensure the performance of all Territory Managers meets Ferrero Standards and core values and fulfills the requirements of their roles.
- Implement approved Performance Management Plans as required.
- Support the development and ongoing review of Individual Development Plans for all team members.
- Comply with the year-end Performance Evaluation process for all Full-Time team members.
- 3-5 years' experience within territory or sales management within FMCG.
- Experience working in the grocery channel is essential.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Resilient, driven, and determined to succeed.
- Experience in managing and developing people is highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualification preferable within a business-related field.
