Product Leadership Opportunity

Samsung Australia is seeking a seasoned product leader to join our Display & Brand Memory (DBM) team as the Head of Product. This pivotal role will oversee the local operation and P&L of our sub-categories, including Computer Monitors, Large Format Displays, Hotel TVs, LED Displays, and Memory.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the cadence of our business operation, including financial and product forecasts, as well as category business plans. They will also contribute to the leadership group for the DBM team, working closely with the Head of Marketing and Heads of Sales.

To succeed in this role, you should have strong financial acumen, a creative mind to shape our go-to-market strategy, and the ability to lead an energetic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support product managers to localize product roadmaps and initiatives from HQ, creating compelling market stories for our products.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of market dynamics and drivers through analysis of market share data, sell-through information, and customer feedback.
  • Contribute to healthy debate with sales and marketing teams to ensure consensus plans deliver market and strategic product objectives.
  • Maintain a vision of future market coverage, ensuring a healthy pipeline and good market coverage in B2B and B2C.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant product/category management experience, ideally from a B2B environment.
  • Strong leadership experience, with a proven ability to achieve budgeted targets and revenue targets with full P&L management.
  • High-level business acumen, with a strong ability to communicate, negotiate, influence, and present to all levels of the business.
  • Consultative and influential selling style, with an ability to sell technical products.
