Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Email Marketing Strategist to join our team at Matrix Education in Sydney CBD. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, crafting, and delivering email campaigns to grow our business.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced email marketer to take their skills to the next level and make a real impact on our marketing strategy. As an Email Marketing Strategist, you will work closely with our Marketing Manager and collaborate with a talented team of digital marketers.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute automated email campaigns that drive traffic, generate leads, and build community engagement across multiple channels.
  • Manage the day-to-day planning, creation, and scheduling of promotional email marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date email contact lists and data.
  • Create end-to-end nurturing strategies for our current and prospective customers.
  • Collaborate with our Graphic Designer to create scalable and maintainable email templates.
  • Manage email calendars, testing plans, and identify new opportunities to support overall marketing goals.
  • Monitor performance of email campaigns and implement strategies for optimisation.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of professional email marketing or digital media experience, agency or in-house.
  • A thorough understanding of all facets of email marketing and lead nurturing, from list health and deliverability through to creative implementation and automation.
  • Knowledgeable with Email Service Providers.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS design, Responsive Designs, Dynamic Content, and email best practices including CAN-SPAM Regulations.
  • Results-driven with exceptional detail and knowledge around metrics, specifically A/B testing and ROI analysis.
  • Great copywriting skills – from subject lines that increase open rates, telling stories in emails to make people read them and compelling call-to-actions.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and strives for a high degree of precision.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Media, or Journalism.

We offer a competitive salary range of AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
