Project Leadership Role

This is a key leadership position responsible for delivering Defence-related projects. The successful candidate will be able to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and compliance with Defence standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Aerospace projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers in accordance with Defence frameworks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and present project documentation, including business cases, status reports, and milestone reviews to stakeholders.
  • Manage contract deliverables and ensure adherence to Defence procurement and governance processes, maintaining relationships with Defence, industry partners, and government agencies.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement across Defence, industry partners, and government agencies, and communicate project progress to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with Defence security, safety, and quality standards, and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Support integration of capability into operational environments, including training, logistics, and sustainment planning, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, or business, and proven experience in Defence project management.
  • Strong understanding of Defence acquisition processes, ASDEFCON documentation, and capability lifecycle, and excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects with competing priorities and limited resources, and hold a minimum NV1 clearance (must be an Australian citizen).
