We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Personal Care Support Specialists at Respect Aged Care. As a Personal Care Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing essential support and companionship to our residents, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

About the Position

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Personal Care Support Specialists to join our dynamic and supportive care team at our St John's home in Wangaratta, VIC. As a Personal Care Support Specialist, you will provide competent personal care, support, and assistance to our residents under the direction and guidance of the senior clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to assist residents to maintain independence and dignity with respect to activities of daily living and lifestyle.
  • Attend to meal delivery and refreshments as required.
  • Record observations on relevant assessment charts and documents any observed exceptions to the care plan in the progress notes; and reports such to the EN/RN.
  • Check residents' daily menu requirements.
  • Attend to duties as allocated and or delegated by the RN/EN, including general ward duties.
  • Any other task not defined but within the employee's skills, as directed by the organisation.

Requirements

  • Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
  • Relevant Certificate III Qualification.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check. Respect will assist each successful candidate to obtain the required certification.
