Drill and Blast Team Lead

This position entails spearheading teams to drive performance outcomes in drill and blast operations.

About the Role
  • Optimise personnel and equipment utilisation to meet production goals.
  • Communicate drill and blast requirements at pre-start meetings.
  • Coordinate work-crew responsibilities ensuring employees are aware of changes and are competent to carry out tasks.
  • Ensure all employees understand and comply with Health, Safety and Environmental working procedures.
  • Provide technical advice/ expertise on Drill and Blast operations and deliver training and guidance to personnel as required.
Requirements
  • Unrestricted shotfirers ticket.
  • A proven track record of fostering safety in the workplace.
  • Proven experience as a Drill & Blast Supervisor, leading and mentoring teams effectively to drive performance outcomes.
  • Extensive experience in open pit mining within a Nickel, Copper, Gold, Lithium or Iron ore background is highly regarded.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships across the team and departments.
