Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:Fortescue's Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.Roster: 8D/6R - FIFO ex PerthWe are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Blast Operator responsible for ensuring drill and blast activities are conducted in a safe and cost-efficient manner.Reporting to the Drill and Blast Supervisor, the position will also be required to provide sufficient quantity and quality of blasted stock for mining or processing.Key ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate behaviour that aligns with FMG valuesComply with Zero Harm principles dailyMeet daily operational targetsPerform all duties as directed by the Drill & Blast Supervisory TeamOperating machinery in asafe and efficient mannerEnsuring all associated equipment is maintained in a safe conditionEnsuring Drill & Blast patterns are kept to a high standardUsing techniques and procedures that improve performance and cost efficienciesQualifications and ExperienceWA Class C Driver's LicenceDangerous good security clearanceCurrent WA Shotfirer's Licence (highly regarded)Mobile equipment operation in mining industry – desirableCommunication/ interpersonal skills -two-way operationKnowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act/RegsBasic computer skillsAbout UsBe part of something big.
