**Position Overview**:
The Blast and Paint Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all blasting and painting activities, ensuring they are executed in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner following Australian Standards such as AS 1627 (Metal finishing—Preparation and pre-treatment of surfaces), AS/NZS 2311 (Guide to the painting of buildings), and AS 3894.3 (Site testing of protective coatings). This role involves liaising with various departments, including Project Management, Quality Control, and Health and Safety, to ensure work is completed on time and within budget while meeting strict quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee daily operations of blasting and painting projects to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and Australian Standards.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Liaise with Quality Control to ensure all work meets the required quality standards.
- Monitor and track project progress and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure all work is conducted safely and efficiently per company statutory Health and Safety guidelines.
- Provide leadership, training, and supervision to the blasting and painting teams to maintain high skill levels, efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and procurement as necessary, adhering to AS/NZS 3788 (Pressure equipment—In-service inspection).

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application or equivalent.
- At least five years of experience in a similar role within the blasting and painting industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of blasting and painting equipment, techniques, industry best practices, and relevant Australian Standards.
- Proven experience in managing teams and coordinating complex projects.
- Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and procedures, including relevant Australian Standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem-solve under pressure and adapt to changing conditions.
- Current driver's license and ability to travel as required.

**Physical Requirements**:
The Blast and Paint Coordinator may be required to lift or move equipment or materials. Therefore, the ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, climbing, bending, or standing for long periods may be necessary.

**Working Conditions**:
Work can be in both an office setting and on the worksite. Depending on project requirements, the role may require some travel and working outside of standard business hours.
