Job Title

A high-achieving leader is required to join our retail network and play a pivotal role in the success of our Mitchell store.

This opportunity will see you working closely with the Store Manager to lead the team and drive sales growth through effective coaching and development. You will also be responsible for maintaining store presentation and merchandising, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the store, and leading store safety initiatives.

  • Lead and motivate a small team to achieve business goals
  • Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product selection and technical advice
  • Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Tint and prepare paint products to customer specifications
  • Maintain accurate stock control and inventory management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries
  • Process transactions and manage cash handling
  • Make local deliveries to trade customers using the company vehicle
  • Assist the sales team in growing trade, industrial, and retail business
  • Drive a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong leadership skills complemented by experience in coaching, developing, and mentoring teams
  • Previous experience working as a deputy manager in a customer-facing role within retail or sales
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
  • Knowledge of point-of-sale systems or ability to quickly learn
  • Experience with stock management and merchandising
  • Effective time management and planning capabilities
  • Ability to handle work-related pressures and conflicts
  • Autonomy to make decisions and implement improvements
  • An unrestricted driver's license and capacity to perform manual tasks
