Job Title: Patient Transport Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Patient Transport Officer. This position requires the ability to provide safe and efficient transportation for patients, as well as perform various duties associated with the role.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide transport services for patients, including transfers between facilities, medical appointments, and other destinations.
  • Transport staff and deliver items as requested.
  • Check and maintain vehicles to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Plan and arrange maintenance of vehicles to minimize downtime.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence Class C.
  • Current Apply First Aid Certificate.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to physically transfer patients, load, unload and manoeuvre patients around, on and off stretchers or wheelchairs.
  • Experience with using computer systems and Microsoft programs.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of challenges of working in a remote area.
