Overview of the Patient Flow and Access Nurse Manager Role
Job Description:
The Patient Flow and Access Nurse Manager is responsible for leading the coordination of patient flow and access across the Remote Health Service. This involves ensuring that patients receive the right care, in the right place, by the right team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current nursing/midwifery registration with AHPRA
- Demonstrated understanding of principles, systems, and processes related to patient flow and discharge planning
- Proven clinical leadership skills and ability to lead a team with person-centered leadership
- Demonstrated experience in managing quality and safety processes, including analysis of patterns and trends in data
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
