About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator to join our Rail Infrastructure Services team based in NSW. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring junior members, with a strong focus on commercial acumen.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Drafting scopes of works and tender packages for projects
  • Conducting initial investigations with subcontractors
  • Managing the review process for subcontractor awards
  • Maintaining a register of subcontractors
  • Minimising variation claims and eliminating claims where possible
  • Operating and maintaining commercial and contract systems
  • Ensuring cost forecasting and accuracy
  • Interpreting specifications and drawings
  • Participating in identification and quantification of head contracts
  • Managing subcontractors for Code compliance
  • Preparing variations, claims, and letters for head contract management
  • Assessing commercial and contractual risks
  • Checking compliance and preparing reporting
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, or Commerce
  • Previous experience in a Senior Contracts Administrator role within the construction or engineering industry
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (including Excel) and exposure to contract management systems
  • Experience with project values and complexity
  • Understanding of document control procedures
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation/code
  • Experience in negotiating with subcontractors

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as:
