Assistant Director, Product Development
">">This role involves overseeing a small team handling internal and external complaints in line with the General Insurance Code of Practice (GICOP). You will oversee the insurance underwriting program, ensuring integrity of underwriting activities and processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating implementation of premium pricing reviews, including modelling and methodology in conjunction with an external actuary.
">">You will also manage and coordinate development of new products and improvements to existing products or product lines, including evaluating and ensuring design feasibility and design optimisation. Furthermore, you will determine, negotiate and agree on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications, assessing policyholder requirements and ensuring that these are met.
">">The team consists of five core business areas, including Products, Pricing and Underwriting, Sales and Policy, Claims, Marketing and Communications and Finance and Accounts. You will perform design or redesign of business processes to improve operational efficiency, analysing current effectiveness, implementing, and updating of processes so as to ensure business goals are met.
