Marine Surveyor Opportunity for South Australia

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydrographic Surveyor to join our team at Flinders Port Holdings. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and diverse organisation, contributing to the provision of quality and timely surveying and technical services.
As a key member of our Hydrosurvey team, you will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining the Tidal networks in South Australia, liaising with the National Tidal Unit regarding predictions, and undertaking hydrographic, topographic, and engineering surveys as required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Undertake hydrographic, topographic, and engineering surveys, edit and process survey data as required.
- Coordinate the maintenance of the tide gauge/weather station network and collect tidal data.
- Manage requests from external organisations and the general public on issues relating to tides and requests for predicted or recorded data.
- Provide support services for the management of spatial and aspatial digital data.
Key Requirements:
- Associate Diploma in Surveying or equivalent in a relevant discipline (Level 2 Marine Surveyor).
- Tidal theory and practical field knowledge.
- Eligibility for registration as a Hydrographic Surveyor with the Geospatial Council of Australia.
- Current Drivers Licence.
- Demonstrated ability in effectively managing survey programs.

This role requires the incumbent to hold a valid driver's licence and may involve fieldwork, intrastate travel, and out-of-hours work. We offer a competitive salary package, estimated at $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
