Family Support Specialist

About the Role
As a Family Contact Worker, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting safe family contact for children in care based in Sydney. This may involve travelling to carer homes and community locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transporting and supervising family contact visits autonomously
- Writing clear, detailed reports soon after each visit
- Supporting care plans with case managers
- Identifying and reporting child protection concerns
- Managing visits that are not in the child's best interest
Requirements:
- A diploma in community services (or related field) is preferred but not required
- A valid driver's licence, WWCC, first aid certification, and NDIS clearance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to manage conflict and work with diverse families
- An understanding of child safety and car restraint laws
- Must be available for a range of shifts
