This challenging role focuses on ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children through collaborative work with families.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Responding to concerns surrounding child safety and well-being.
- Engaging with parents, family members, children or young people in a sensitive and respectful manner.
- Collaborating with other agencies to develop effective solutions.
- Supporting families in developing goals aligned with their needs, addressing safety and well-being concerns, and providing assistance through home visits.
- Developing safety plans and conducting risk assessments.
- Managing complex cases and situations, including working with high-needs and high-risk clients and their families.
- Participating in court processes, including preparing court documents and attending hearings.
To be successful, you will require:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, or a related field, accompanied by relevant practical experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to build positive working relationships.
- A valid driver's license (P1 or above).
- A current paid working with children clearance number.
