About the RoleThis critical position will empower the successful candidate to design and establish a best-in-class service department, driving significant revenue growth and improving customer experience. Reporting to the newly appointed CEO, the Head of Service will play a key leadership role in bringing a service-centric capability to the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a strategy to create a best-practice service and maintenance business unit, improving customer experience and driving revenue growth.
- Develop a strategic roadmap for winning new service contracts across existing customers and targeting new business opportunities.
- Educate and train the existing project sales team to fully understand service solutions and sell them as part of the overall solution.
- Implement systems, processes, and a scalable service platform to effectively manage workflows.
- Ideal candidate has a degree in engineering or a related field and comes from a business where service is a key revenue stream.
- Proven track record of commercial growth, building and growing best-in-class service departments, and revenue streams.
- Experience in taking an organisation on a journey from reactive to proactive maintenance service models.
- Negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to drive mutually beneficial commercial outcomes.
- Financial and commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of the numbers and commercial impacts of decisions.
- A results-focused leader who is comfortable flexing between strategic and tactical initiatives, with hands-on business development experience.
