Pastoral Care Coordinator - South Hurstville

The successful applicant will deliver pastoral care services to residents and clients, ensuring their cultural and spiritual wellbeing are maintained.

  • Providing personal support and care to individuals in line with their preferences and Catholic Healthcare's Mission

About the Role:

  • Supporting mission formation activities for employees within the residential aged care home
  • Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, colleagues and residents while closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you'll need

  • Certification III or IV in Pastoral Care or similar qualifications in theology or spirituality
  • A strong knowledge of the Catholic faith, particularly as it relates to the dignity of life and aged care
  • Commitment to supporting the pastoral/spiritual care needs of the sick and elderly, along with their family members
  • Ability to respect the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
