Waste Education Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Waste Education Specialist to join our team at the Gregadoo Waste Management Centre.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive waste education programs and strategies to enhance waste management across the Local Government Area (LGA).
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with schools, council stakeholders, and external clients to develop and deliver education-related programs.
  • Liaise with operational staff and contractors on waste procedures and performance.

This role will involve collaborating with Council's communication, engagement, and graphic design teams to create materials and education programs that support waste education initiatives.

The successful applicant will possess tertiary qualifications relevant to the role, a Class C Driver's Licence, General Construction Induction Training Card, and demonstrated experience in solid waste management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage and oversee waste education programs from conception to delivery.
  • To engage with key stakeholders and collaborate on program development.
  • To communicate effectively with various audiences through multiple channels.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in environmental science, sustainability, education or related field.
  • Class C Driver's Licence.
  • General Construction Induction Training Card.
  • Demonstrated experience in solid waste management.
