Job Title

Leadership Position in Waste Management:

The role of Resource Recovery Leading Hand presents an exciting opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities in the supervision and management of a waste management centre and rural transfer stations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate landfill personnel and contractors engaged in daily operations, ensuring compliance with legislative guidelines.
  • Manage site infrastructure, including access roads, signage, and traffic control.
  • Implement workplace safety protocols, utilizing and maintaining plant, equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment.
  • Optimize recycling areas for efficient public access.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in all aspects of site operations.
  • Develop high standards of customer service among staff.
  • Conduct regular inspections and implement changes as delegated.
  • Assist with maintenance of accurate records and coordination of contractors and suppliers.

Key Qualifications:

  • Civil Construction or Frontline Management qualifications.
  • Class C Driver's Licence and General Construction Induction Training Card.
  • Substantial experience in leading and working within a team, independently.
  • Strong time management, planning, administrative, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Compliance with vaccination requirements for Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Tetanus.
