About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Centre Site Lead to join our Cloud Data Centre Operations team at Oracle. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational run aspects of our data centres and ensuring the smooth delivery of our cloud services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Liaison: You will serve as the technical liaison between our technology teams and the data centre environment, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Infrastructure Management: You will be responsible for conducting audits for power and mechanical capacity, overseeing upgrades, and ensuring the optimal performance of our data centre infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: You will troubleshoot and solve all but the most complex infrastructure issues, working closely with internal teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Documentation and Compliance: You will maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on our data centre technologies and operational procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Collaboration and Communication: You will work closely with internal teams, project teams, and colocation partners to validate the functionality of electrical and mechanical systems, and to optimize performance, enhance reliability, and improve efficiency across our data centre infrastructures.
  • Leadership and Expertise: You will emerge as the go-to technical authority within the team and across other departments, providing expertise to address and mitigate global resiliency, reliability, and availability risks.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: You will have in-depth knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including power and mechanical systems, and experience with cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: You will have strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, project teams, and colocation partners.
  • Communication and Documentation: You will have excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on our data centre technologies and operational procedures.
  • Australian Citizenship: You must be an Australian citizen to obtain security clearance.
