Job Title: Data Centre Site Lead

Oracle is seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Site Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Cloud Data Center Operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational aspects of our data centres and ensuring the smooth delivery of our cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits for power and mechanical capacity and oversee upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues.
  • Liaise with local colocation partners to synchronize site utility requisites and ensure seamless operations.
  • Offer after-hours support as needed to ensure business continuity.
  • Manage tasks via internal tools like JIRA and Confluence to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Uphold meticulous documentation and adherence to SOPs to maintain high standards.
  • Assess and prioritize incoming and open tickets based on severity to ensure timely resolution.
  • Manage inventory processes for data centre equipment receipt, tracking, and shipment to ensure accurate records.
  • Deploy, label, and repair fibre, copper, and telecom cables, alongside patch panel systems to ensure reliable connectivity.
  • Collaborate with project teams and colocation partners to validate the functionality of electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Extend operational support to encompass failure mode analysis, root cause identification, maintenance assistance, best practices, procedural reviews, and more to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Curate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation concerning corporate data centres and operational procedures to ensure knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with regional and business leaders to optimize performance, enhance reliability, and improve efficiency across collocated, leased, and owned data centre infrastructures to ensure business success.
  • Participate in operational reviews, gathering and analyzing technical data to pinpoint and rectify existing reliability and availability concerns to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Offer expertise to address and mitigate global resiliency, reliability, and availability risks to ensure business continuity.
  • Facilitate the intake, evaluation, and resolution of issues related to collocated, leased, and owned data centre builds, focusing on the provision of quality improvement recommendations to ensure business success.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to set and maintain standards, ensuring consistency and reliability in service delivery to ensure business success.
  • Emerge as the go-to technical authority within the team and across other departments to ensure technical expertise.
  • Approach challenges with a positive attitude, consistently offering innovative and creative solutions to ensure business success.

  • Australian citizenship to obtain security clearance.
