Job Title: Regional Operations Leader

 

The Role of the Regional Operations Leader is to lead a team of remote technical field operations employees, contractors and First-In Maintainers (FIMs) in delivering high levels of reliability and improved services at lower cost. The role requires building organisational skills and capabilities to manage people, faults and operations remotely.

 

The key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, motivating, training, recruiting and developing a team of remote technical field operations employees, contractors and FIMs.
  • Building organisational skills and capabilities to manage people, faults and operations remotely.
  • Building technical capability to respond to growth opportunities.

 

You will also be responsible for ensuring that the teams are adequately resourced, including a network of appropriately skilled and trained FIMs and contractors. This includes ensuring that all project work is scheduled as efficiently as possible, supporting the Service Management Centre (SMC) and Area teams to ensure service faults are restored promptly and response targets and contractual obligations are met.

 

Key qualifications and skills required for this role include:

  • Strong people management skills, creating an environment of trust, empowerment, accountability, enjoyment and success.
  • Experience in Change Management advantageous.
  • Tertiary qualification from an accredited university in a related discipline or equivalent training and experience.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of the telecommunications industry.
