Company Overview:

Boart Longyear is a leading provider of drilling equipment and performance tooling for the mining industry worldwide.

We cater to various applications, including mining, mineral exploration, energy, and environmental sampling, with our range of highly productive drill rigs and percussive top hammer tooling.

About the Role:

This position is based in our Forrestfield office and will be responsible for servicing the Goldfields area primarily. Regular visits to our Kalgoorlie branch are required, with a focus on growing our market share in the region.

You will promote and develop new business opportunities and support our Rock Tools product line for Western Australia.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Territory Management: Develop and execute strategies to grow new accounts in the underground market space.
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with senior-level representatives from mining houses and contractors.
  • Business Development: Prospect for new business in existing and new accounts.
  • Product Education: Educate clients on Boart Longyear's products and services.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Manage territory planning, reporting, and pipeline management.
  • Sales Growth: Drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets in assigned market segments.
  • Customer Support: Identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Rapport Building: Develop solid relationships and rapport with customers and internal stakeholders based on trust and mutual respect.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Issue Resolution: Help identify and address customer issues by connecting them with relevant resources.
  • Branch Visits: Perform regular monthly visits operating out of the Kalgoorlie Branch.

Requirements:

  • Percussive Drilling Experience: Specific understanding, training, or qualifications in the use of percussive drilling equipment and rock tools services.
  • Underground Network: Strong underground network and experience in the Rock Tools space.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience working in the Underground mining space, operations, or drilling.
  • Business Development Expertise: Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Development and/or sales, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Professional Qualifications: Sales or general business management training.
  • Presentation Skills: Skills and networks to present to mining boards or senior management groups.
  • Solution Selling: Good understanding of solution selling.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well within a team.
  • CRM Reporting: Ability to report and document on company CRM.
  • Driver's License: A current driver's licence.

Estimated Salary Range:$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience
