We are seeking a Senior Industrial Relations Advisor to join our team in Perth. This exciting opportunity will involve advising and supporting HR and project leadership teams across major engineering and construction projects.

Our company delivers large, complex projects for the infrastructure, energy, and resources industries, underpinned by a dedication to innovation, sustainability and getting the job done safely and efficiently.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Australian employment legislation, industrial instruments, and Fair Work Commission processes.

This role requires a minimum 5+ years experience in IR/ER advisory roles, preferably within construction, resources, or infrastructure.

You will be responsible for providing expert advice on industrial instruments, including Enterprise Agreements (EAs), Modern Awards, and union engagement.

Additionally, you will support EA negotiation and implementation across multiple projects and jurisdictions.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop and implement IR strategies aligned with business objectives and project timelines.

The ideal candidate will maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable legislation including the Fair Work Act, Work Health & Safety laws, and case law developments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on industrial instruments
  • Support EA negotiation and implementation
  • Develop and implement IR strategies
  • Act as escalation point for complex ER cases
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in IR/ER advisory roles
  • Proven experience managing IR/ER in large-scale projects
  • Deep understanding of Australian employment legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret EAs, manage disputes, and influence positive industrial outcomes
