Job Title: State Distributor Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and manage trading relationships with distributors to achieve targeted sales targets in Gross Sales Value, Volume, and Contribution.
  • Manage distribution of new and current products across the state, ensuring customer acquisition and retention.
  • Develop and maintain business development plans to drive Simplot's growth across all product lines within the state.
  • Conduct regular field visits to ensure tactical execution of business strategies at End User level.
  • Monitor market share trends, competitor activity, pricing, and distribution, and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Communicate promotional programmes, ranging, deals, and sales information to the field on a monthly basis.
  • Own volume forecasts for all product lines and ensure Demand Management processes are met.
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in Foodservice, Sales, or a related FMCG industry.
  • Demonstrated IT skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.
  • Substantial demonstrated account management experience.
  • Ability to work closely with senior management, as well as operate autonomously.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • High-level business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships aligned to customer focus and business plans.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
