Maintenance Fitter - Industrial Equipment Specialist

Sharpcarter is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to support the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment. As an industrial equipment specialist, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, fault finding, breakdown response, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the Role

This hands-on role involves working with industrial equipment to ensure its optimal performance. You will work closely with production teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and safety.

We are looking for a qualified Maintenance Fitter with trade qualifications in mechanical fitting and experience in industrial or manufacturing environments. If you have a strong understanding of conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics, this could be the ideal role for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks on plant equipment to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Maintain accurate records and work orders using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Assist with improvement projects and contribute to a positive team culture by sharing knowledge and best practices.

What We're Looking For:

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Cert III or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Experience working with conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • CMMS experience (e.g. MEX) highly regarded
