A guest services professional is responsible for ensuring that guests have an exceptional experience during their stay. This includes anticipating and meeting the needs of guests, maintaining high standards of service, and adhering to established hotel policies and procedures.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a guest services agent. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for checking guests in and out efficiently and with friendliness, processing daily transactions accurately, communicating effectively with colleagues and guests, and contributing to the overall success of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Anticipate and attend to guest needs and desires immediately.
- Offer warm and friendly greetings to guests as they enter and depart from the hotel.
- Check guests in and out with efficiency and friendliness and in accordance with established hotel guidelines.
- Process daily guest transactions and accounts accurately and efficiently.
- Work closely with housekeeping, reservations, and maintenance departments to ensure rooms are properly prepared for arriving guests.
- Communicate any guest special requests to relevant departments and follow up to ensure requests are fulfilled according to guest wishes.
- Promptly action all guest messages and facsimiles.
- Communicate any pertinent guest comments, particularly guest complaints, to hotel management.
- Have a full working knowledge of all information on the area as a destination, the services available at and through the hotel, and any special events taking place in the area.
- Have a full working knowledge of all current room rates and packages available at the hotel.
- Book, update, amend, and file all reservations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in all rostered theoretical and on-the-job training sessions.
- Comply with all hotel operational policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Have a full knowledge of, and practice all hotel established workplace health and safety guidelines (WHS).
- Adhere to all established cashiering policies and procedures.
- Ensure the protection and maintenance of all operating equipment.
- Complete all assigned opening and closing duties.
- Provide assistance to telephonists and back-office personnel when required.
- Attend all scheduled meetings.
