Senior Ocean Specialist

Job Description:

The role of Senior Ocean Specialist involves contributing to the operational excellence of tidal and sea level data services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curate tidal and sea level data with respect to our services.
  • Foster strong relationships with diverse stakeholders to facilitate the exchange and integration of tides and sea level data.
  • Oversee sea level data processes that support operational services, including tide predictions, coastal forecasts and warnings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Highly developed data management skills, ideally within oceanographic fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and improving time series data processes, including integration across heterogeneous systems and addressing diverse user requirements.
  • Close familiarity with ocean services and related science; ideally related to tides, maritime operations, hydrography or coastal processes.
