Position Overview

Tide predictions and sea level data play a crucial role in the nation's ocean services. Our team seeks an expert to contribute to operational excellence, working closely with partner agencies to provide reliable national focus on tides and sea level data services.

This position sits alongside other specialists in the Marine and Antarctic part of the Environmental Prediction Services program. As a senior specialist, you will work collaboratively to shape longer-term developments associated with ocean services under the Bureau's strategy.

You will foster relationships with data stakeholders, shaping strategic engagement across external agencies, ports, researchers, and international organizations. Your efforts will ensure that the nation's sea level data services remain trusted, relevant, and responsive.

You will take on a high degree of accountability for managing the national archive of tidal data and play a hands-on role in improving community access to this data.
