About the Job

As a Timetabling Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and managing academic timetables to maximise space usage across all campuses.

This involves coordinating with various stakeholders to meet academic needs and deadlines, while ensuring optimal use of resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and publish academic calendars including key dates.
  • Prepare and maintain examination timetables using multiple systems.
  • Support course creation in student information systems.
  • Allocate rooms to achieve maximum usage capacity and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Maximise class sizes to meet room capacity or approved class caps.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with academic teams to create and revise course offerings.
  • Support project-based work related to timetabling solutions.
  • Balance space utilisation, student preferences, course progression, and staff availability.
  • Support recruitment and enrolment strategies by developing and publishing timetables aligned with recruitment timelines.
  • Manage room allocations for events and third-party bookings.
  • Produce timetable-related reports on class sizes and building capacities.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Relevant qualification in education or a related field.
  • Experience in timetabling or scheduling, preferably in education.
  • Ability to investigate and analyse issues to develop practical solutions.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office365.
  • Positive attitude and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Cross-cultural awareness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
