Executive Director, People Services

We are seeking an experienced HR executive to lead the delivery of strategic HR services to Victoria's courts and tribunals. As Executive Director, People Services, you will play a critical role in the senior executive leadership team and be responsible for setting the strategic direction and operational delivery of innovative HR services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and build a positive, high-performing culture within People Services, aligned with public sector values.
- Deliver expert HR advice and services across a broad spectrum.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team and foster innovation and continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency and service excellence.
- Partner with senior stakeholders, including CSV's CEO, to ensure alignment with organisational goals and champion CSV's strategic objectives.
- Develop policies that promote psychological safety and wellbeing, reinforcing CSV's commitment to a safe and inclusive workplace.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships across government and industry to stay at the forefront of emerging HR trends and best practices.
- Extensive experience in HR leadership, with a focus on strategic HR management, workforce planning, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multifaceted teams and drive organisational change in a large-scale setting.
- Strong understanding of HR trends, governance, and compliance, with experience in delivering shared services across diverse organisational structures.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
- Relevant experience in courts or tribunals is highly regarded.
- Postgraduate qualifications in HR or a related field are highly desirable.
Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunals, VCAT, the Judicial College, the Judicial Commission and CSV.
