About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced Engineer to join our Data Services team. This highly-technical role involves working with data plane services like Cassandra, ElasticSearch/Opensearch, Kafka, Redis, Valkey, MySQL, PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will be comfortable building automation around large-scale cloud-based critical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a deep understanding of the data components, operating and automating properly configured clusters.
- Operate databases in kubernetes, managing container images.
- Develop infrastructure services to support engineering teams' pursuit of a full devops model.
- Troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues, working closely with Engineering and Customer Support.
- Configuration management (Chef)
- Scripting in Python and bash
- Experience with large scale datastores using technologies like Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, and mySQL.
- Experience with large-scale, business-critical Linux environments
