About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Engineer to join our Data Services team. This highly-technical role involves working with data plane services like Cassandra, ElasticSearch/Opensearch, Kafka, Redis, Valkey, MySQL, PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will be comfortable building automation around large-scale cloud-based critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the data components, operating and automating properly configured clusters.
  • Operate databases in kubernetes, managing container images.
  • Develop infrastructure services to support engineering teams' pursuit of a full devops model.
  • Troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues, working closely with Engineering and Customer Support.
Requirements
  • Configuration management (Chef)
  • Scripting in Python and bash
  • Experience with large scale datastores using technologies like Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, and mySQL.
  • Experience with large-scale, business-critical Linux environments
  • Cloud experience, preferably Amazon Web Services, GCP and OCI
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
