Job Overview:

The position of Enterprise Database Specialist focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining efficient SQL database systems. This involves ensuring optimal performance, integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain large-scale enterprise databases for applications.
  • Improve database performance through query optimization and indexing techniques.
  • Maintain data consistency, security, and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to integrate database solutions with application features.
  • Create and update database documentation, including schema designs, procedures, and data dictionaries.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess experience as an Enterprise Database Specialist working on complex enterprise systems, proficiency in SQL, knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server), strong understanding of database design principles, indexing, and normalization, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with database tools such as ER/Studio, Toad, or similar software.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based database services like Amazon RDS or Microsoft Azure SQL Database.
  • Familiarity with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and business intelligence concepts.
