Role Overview

The Edmund Rice Education Australia Flexible Schools Ltd seeks a PPA Leader Identity and Literacy professional to assume the role of leading a whole-school approach in improving literacy and numeracy outcomes.

The successful applicant will develop, lead, and implement strategies for staff training, track student data, collate reports for the Principal, and use data to inform teaching teams to set goals and implement targeted adjustments for Individual Learning Plans (ILPs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive literacy and numeracy intervention program for the entire school.
  • Facilitate and coordinate staff development and training in evidence-based literacy and numeracy strategies.
  • Monitor student data to inform progress and conduct regular reviews.
  • Compile and submit reports as required by the Principal.
  • Utilize data insights to inform teaching teams to set goals and implement targeted adjustments for Individual Learning Plans (ILPs).
  • Support the Leadership team in gathering NCCD data and evidence to enhance student outcomes.

Ideal candidates will possess experience working with students who have disengaged from mainstream education, knowledge of teaching processes, frameworks, and practices, and the ability to lead teams and coach staff effectively.

Requirements:
  • Understanding of and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system of schools.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with students who have disengaged from mainstream education.
  • Current WA Teachers Registration and Working with Children Check.
  • Ability to drive a bus and willingness to obtain current First Aid certification.
