Job Overview

The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging learning programs for middle and secondary phase students, fostering a supportive school environment and contributing to the development of the Flexible School's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Learning: Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality teaching programs that cater to individual student needs, promoting academic excellence and social inclusion.
  • Student Support: Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents and colleagues to provide comprehensive support and guidance.
  • Evaluation and Improvement: Collect and analyze data to inform teaching practices, identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance student outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with staff to develop and maintain a positive school culture, promoting open communication and teamwork.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience working with young people disenfranchised from mainstream education, demonstrating expertise in teaching and learning.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong teaching skills, knowledge of educational frameworks and practices, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
