Senior Trust Account Specialist

As a key member of our national Finance team, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join our dynamic and friendly work environment. The role is fast-paced and will suit someone with demonstrated experience processing a high volume of data with strong accuracy.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for the processing of trust account transactions, including receipts, payments, and PEXA settlements. They will also be involved in trust account reconciliations, processing and reconciliation of controlled money in our practice management system, and managing trust account records in accordance with statutory requirements.
In addition, the candidate will be responsible for periodic reporting of the trust account, filing, lodgements, and liaising with auditors. Training of trust processes and accounting program to staff and communications with the wider firm stakeholders will also be part of their responsibilities.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years' experience preferably within a law firm environment;
- Excellent accuracy with processing volume;
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and organisational skills;
- Experience with our practice management system (Aderant) is advantageous, plus intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
