The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join our national Finance team. We have a friendly team culture, and our Business Services team is at the core of our success. The role is fast paced and will suit someone with demonstrated experience processing a high volume of data with strong accuracy. You'll be busy with:
- processing of trust account transactions (receipts, payments, PEXA settlements);
- trust account reconciliations;
- processing and reconciliation of controlled money in the practice management system;
- manage trust account records in accordance with statutory requirements;
- periodic reporting of the trust account, filing, lodgements and liaising with auditors; and
- training of trust processes and accounting program to staff and communications with the wider firm stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, ideally you'll have:
- 2+ years' experience preferably within a law firm environment;
- excellent accuracy with processing volume;
- strong time management, attention to detail and organisational skills; and
- experience with our practice management system (Aderant) is advantageous, plus intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
