The NSW Department of Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk and Controls Advisory Partner to join our team. As a key member of our Chief Risk Office, you will provide expert advice on risk and control assessments, control monitoring activities, and reporting to ensure the adequacy of controls and mitigate critical risk exposures.
This is an ongoing full-time role located in Parramatta with flexible working arrangements available. The salary range is $139,787 to $161,663 plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert specialist advice on risk and control assessments, control monitoring activities, and reporting
- Assess the adequacy of controls and mitigate critical risk exposures
- Remediate weaknesses before they impact on the achievement of the department's objectives
- Work collaboratively with the Chief Risk Office to develop and implement risk management strategies
- Tertiary qualifications or extensive equivalent experience in a related field
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
- Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in enterprise risk management, controls assurance programs, and practices
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
- Flexible working arrangements
- 35 hour working week
