Risk and Control Advisory Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Control Advisory Manager to join our team at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. As a key member of our Group Treasury, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with Operational Risk Frameworks, policies, and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement controls to enable better risk and compliance outcomes.
- Ensure risks are profiled and captured in the Risk Profile (RCSA) and update when risk trigger events occur.
- Report on operational risk and control profiles, issues, incidents, and other matters.
- Work effectively with Line 2 and Audit to determine optimal course of action to remediate any findings.
- Process improvement/automation of processes to streamline work.
- Engage with people across various parts of the Group Treasury and wider Group; stakeholder management and communication skills are paramount in this role.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in a similar Risk & Controls role within a financial services firm.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills, with demonstrated ability to draw insights from analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and quality with ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills and critical thinking skills.
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills, Tableau, and Alteryx skills preferable.
- Understanding Treasury, Institutional Trading, or Market operations background is preferable, but not necessary.
- Risk Mindset – All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss, and act on current and future risks.
