About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Service Operations Manager to join our team at uWorkin. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our service department.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Scheduling and Workload Management: Effectively schedule and assign tasks to team members based on their skills and expertise to ensure optimal workflow and productivity.
  2. Repair Order Management: Oversee the processing of repair orders, ensuring timely completion, accuracy, and profitability.
  3. Spare Parts Management: Manage spare parts submissions, ensuring compliance with manufacturer requirements and deadlines.
  4. Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and lead team members to maintain a safe, positive, and professional work environment.
  5. Time Management and Rostering: Manage technician start/finish times and on-call rosters to ensure seamless operations.
  6. Departmental Goals and Budget: Achieve service department goals and budget in alignment with organizational financial and operational objectives.
  7. Equipment and Tool Maintenance: Ensure all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order.
  8. Process Development and Implementation: Develop, communicate, enforce, and monitor effective processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  1. Troubleshooting and Diagnostic Skills: Possess outstanding troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to resolve complex issues.
  2. Technical Skills: Be able to use and safely operate hand and power tools.
  3. Teamwork and Communication: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a team in a professional manner.
  4. Time Management and Organization: Possess effective time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  5. Leadership and Performance Management: Have experience in managing staff and possess performance management skills.
  6. Industry Knowledge: Have some understanding of the outdoor lifestyle industry.
  7. Initiative and Adaptability: Demonstrate high levels of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure.
  8. Safety and Accountability: Commit to safety and have the ability to work unsupervised.
  9. Problem-Solving and Resolution: Be able to own and resolve issues that may arise.
  10. Additional Skills: Experience in towing is an advantage.
