Key Account Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Key Account Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing assigned national accounts, leading business and performance reviews, identifying service issues and allocating the right resources for improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a flexible, can-do attitude and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to demonstrate attention to detail in all aspects of their work.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain strong relationships with assigned national accounts and lead business and performance reviews to identify areas for improvement
  • Generate new sales opportunities from existing customers and achieve yearly growth targets for strategic accounts
  • Follow the tender management process, conduct competition environment analysis and negotiation strategy in alignment with products
  • Manage accounts receivable process, including due dates and credit limitations
  • Prepare, execute, monitor and continuously improve account strategies/development plans/business plans for key accounts
  • Conduct sales forecasting, planning and budgeting processes and prepare corresponding reports on account status
  • Deliver personal sales plan in CRM and corporate planner
  • Adhere to and execute sales strategy and sales as provided by global/regional/country sales leadership
  • Drive and support product development regarding individual product design for customers
  • Generate tender leads and support timely delivery of compelling and value-generating proposals
  • Identify and convert sales opportunities in collaboration with products
Requirements
  • 5 years experience in a similar role within the industry
  • A proven track record of successfully identifying and securing new business opportunities
  • Freight forwarding and logistics experience highly desirable
  • Amazing communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail
