The Assistant Branch Manager role plays a crucial part in our business, supporting the Branch Manager in creating a positive and safe work environment that delivers exceptional service to our customers.

As a key member of the branch team, you will supervise and coach staff to work to Kennards Hire standards, focusing on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Your responsibilities include:

  • Taking charge of daily tasks and leading by example when the Branch Manager is unavailable.
  • Managing front desk operations and overseeing branch administration to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Supervising equipment maintenance and upholding workshop standards to guarantee optimal performance for our customers.
  • Ensuring smooth opening and closing of the branch as required.
  • Embracing ongoing growth through training and development, enhancing your skills and expertise.
  • Rostering and supervising staff to maximize efficiency and productivity.

**Requirements and Qualifications**

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous experience in retail sales or leadership roles, preferably within the trade or hardware industry.
  • An impressive track record in people management, effective coaching, and performance enhancement.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build lasting relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in technology.
  • Strong team player mentality and commitment to safety.
